Embark on a journey through the Arles landscape in the footsteps of Mireille, the heroine of Frédéric Mistral’s poem published in 1859. The setting is the landscapes of the Alpilles, Crau, and Camargue, which the young girl traverses in her escape, described by the poet and associated with the human activities that shape them.The time is that of Gustave Fayet, who in 1922 took up Mireille’s journey to bring his own perspective to the Provençal landscapes, which he illustrated in 72 monochrome pl
