Work in Progress presents ongoing projects by students at the École nationale supérieure de la photographie d’Arles. Conceived as a publishing project in exhibition form, it transforms the school’s courtyard into a space for reading and circulation, inviting visitors to move from page to page through an open-air book. The architecture becomes a surface on which images are inscribed and the framework for a large-scale publication, where multiple practices, forms and temporalities enter into dialogue. The exhibition brings together diverse photographic languages, experiments and ongoing research within a shared space. Organized by the AEENSP, Work in Progress builds on the work begun this year around student self-publishing practices. The exhibition unfolds as a collective book, offering a panorama of the questions and forms that shape images in the making. Instead of presenting outcomes, Work in Progress reveals processes, evolving practices and a snapshot of research at a given moment.
